From occasion dresses to long lasting makeup, these are the September 2025 top trends that are expected to impact the womenswear, menswear, kids, and beauty markets for months to come.

Occasion dresses are on the rise this fall. With school in full swing, short homecoming dresses (+579% to LY) and sequin homecoming dresses (+472% to LY) are experiencing increased search growth. A line bridesmaid dresses (+342% to LY) are an emerging trend in the wedding space, and bandage dresses (+318% to LY) are a nostalgic, viral occasion dress.

Men's footwear trends are veering outside of traditional sneakers and oxfords this season. For example, leather cowboy boots (+157% to LY) and mens skater shoes (+129% to LY) are leading in searches followed closely by mens heeled boots (+50% to LY)—a street style top trend—and recovery shoes (+128% to LY). 

Consumers are on the hunt for products that last—think long wear nail polish (+422% to LY) and long wear foundation (+680% to LY). Baked makeup (+178% to LY) that locks a look in place is on the rise, too, including loose setting powder (+151% to LY) from brands like Huda Beauty. 

Childrenswear trends are leaning more edgy. Guns and Roses t-shirts (+80% to LY) are one of the most coveted at the moment. Skinny black jeans (+231% to LY) and distressed denim (+57% to LY) are “tough guy” top choices, and the Nirvana onesie (+60% to LY) is one to watch, too.
