With every Resort + Holiday season, vacation dressing reigns as a hot topic of conversation. Whether your consumer is heading down to the tropics or sipping espresso martinis post-day on the mountain, these are the trends that ruled every corner of the world––and Instagram/TikTok.

This year, Resortwear was ruled by bold vacay-worthy prints, statement accessories, and lightweight fabrications like crochets and lace––all of which were ready to make a tropical statement. Set dressing remains key in both beachwear and going out attire, and matching sets are up +52% in market adoption to last year with iterations in linen, crochet, and lightweight knits. High shine and metallics are a must-have––for instance, the sequin skirt is up +28% in market adoption. Or, vacation-goers are opting for a more literal form of shine with body shimmer spray (+41% to LY) and shimmer oil (+22% to LY) to give the skin an ethereal glow. The lace maxi skirt (+93% to LY) and halter mini dress (+39% to LY) are favorites, along with all things lace trim (+9% to LY) including babydoll tank tops, billowy beach pants, and lace trim bikinis (+80% in Market Adoption). As for accessories, anklets (+99% in Market Adoption) are making a comeback, particularly charm anklets up +82% in market adoption, as well as all things seashells—think statement shell pendants (+9% to LY) and eye-catching shell shaped bags (+6% to LY). The color palette for this resort season is bright, taking cues from the ‘70s with royal blue (+69% in Market Adoption), matcha green (+11% in Market Adoption), pinky peaches (+71% in Market Adoption), and butter yellow (+150% to LY) leading in this category.

The après ski aesthetic continues to grow in popularity, bringing with it fresh, cold-weather trends. All things fur have been a hot topic within fashion circles as of late, like long fur coats (+58% to LY), fur hats (+12% to LY), and fur boots (+58% to LY), most popularly seen in dramatic brown hues. Après ski sweaters are on the rise, up +22% in market adoption to last year, along with the burgundy sweaters that are experiencing accelerated growth, up +178% in average weekly searches. Leopard print is making its way to the slopes from the streets with leopard scarves (+124% to LY) and even leopard print snowsuits, up +60% in market adoption. Fur earmuffs (+79% in Market Adoption) and leg warmers (+11% in Market Adoption) are mountain-approved accessory favorites, too. Top trending colors in this category include cherry red (+134% in Market Adoption), chocolate brown (+25% to LY), camel (+17% in Market Adoption), and navy blue (+44% in Market Adoption).

City travel trends aim to balance comfort with a chic ethos—think track pants (+10% to LY) paired with a cinched blazer (+671% to LY) and baseball cap (+13% to LY). Around the city, athleisure sets that can be dressed up or down are seeing a +23% increase compared to last year––seen from top brands like Alo Yoga and 437––that can be worn to barre or the bar. Knitwear is a consumer go-to, and right now we are seeing marled sweaters (+96% to LY) saturate the apparel market. After going viral online, fur jackets (+46% to LY) and barrel jeans (+467% to LY) are elevated street-style favorites that have been seen across the streets of New York. And as for footwear, loafers and flats reign supreme across cities. Leopard loafers (+200% in Market Adoption), loafer mules (+3% to LY), woven mules (+25% to LY), and studded flats (+79% in Market Adoption) are easy and comfortable footwear top-picks. For an extra touch, statement socks (+29% to LY) are being paired with flats in a variety of colors and materials, such as lace socks (+95% in Market Adoption), for added texture and a pop of color. Lace tights, up +130% in market adoption, are a feminine staple when it comes to wearing skirts and dresses for all seasons, too. From workwear to workout wear, sky blue (+19% to LY), burgundy (+69% to LY), kelly green (+27% to LY), and heather grey (+21% to LY) are resonating in the market and bringing a vibrancy to concrete jungles everywhere.
