Menswear Trends

Fall/Winter 2023

January's set of Menswear shows highlighted fresh takes on new-age suiting, surrealist visions, and futuristic influences––even while paying homage to classics like the tuxedo. Legacy fashion houses like Dior, Gucci, and Louis Vuitton gave a fresh spin to heritage style while balancing elevated menswear staples with psychedelic prints and a splash of brighter hues amidst neutrals, too. Plus, texture play (from interesting knits to leather) was key for transforming tried-and-true pieces. Up-and-coming labels such as Louis Gabriel Nouchi, Ami and Lemaire caught attention with their star studded runways and of-the-moment designs. Overall, this season's focus on reinvented suiting and creativity that tested the bounds of masculinity brought viewers into the next chapter of menswear.

Moving away from previous season's rocker and bohemian sensibilities, Saint Laurent is embracing its foundation with undoubtedly chic staples punctuated by surrealist drama. Look to elegant tuxedo jackets, dramatic neckties, and a plethora of black. Plus, you'll still find a leather jacket (or a few) throughout the collection.

Classic French tailoring meets streetwear when it comes to Louis Gabriel Nouchi's design ethos. Often referred to as LGN, the label is a breath of fresh air in the menswear market and intelligently tackles gender-fluid dressing and approaches of-the-moment topics through fashion.
