Blog Post Horizontal Image (6)

Our fashion + beauty director Kendall Becker moderated a discussion on what’s next in lingerie at the Curve Tradeshow in New York City earlier this week. She was joined by Madison Rexroat, fashion editor at ELLE, and MJ Day, editor in chief of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit, as they shared insights for Spring/Summer 2026. Ahead, we’ve rounded out the discussion with Trendalytics data to help guide your buying or design process for next year.

OVERALL AESTHETICS

Lingerie styles were defined by two dominant aesthetics: regal femininity and seductive power. We saw feminine styling cues emerge via silky fabrications, regal-feeling corsets, lace accents, and floral prints like iris and rose print (+12% in Market Adoption), making new takes on floral lingerie (+10% to LY) a top style for the upcoming year. And as for seductive looks, we saw the evolution of fall runway trends become key players within intimates like burgundy lingerie and animal print styles including zebra, leopard, and tiger prints.

NEXT IN COLOR

The color palette for SS26 lingerie collections felt punchy while leaning heavily into near-neutrals, too. For example, pink lingerie (+600% in Social Buzz) made a comeback in powder pink (+39% to LY) hues and vibrant red-toned pinks alongside purples such as violet and periwinkle (+22% to LY). Bright blue lingerie had a moment in summery teals (+14% to LY) and cobalt (+110% to LY) while kiwi green stood out as a contending color. Butter yellow (+679% to LY) made an appearance in a much smaller way than last year, and burgundy (+31% to LY) was often seen paired with lighter colors.

KEY ITEMS

Several key items stood out across the board, sure to become top market movers in the next year. We saw the comeback of the pushup bra, currently up +35% in searches to last year, as well as cheeky panties (+9% in Market Adoption) and Brazilian shorts. Multi-use items have proven top-of-mind for consumers; pieces that are eye-catching when you want to show off undergarments or can be subtle and sexy under clothing—think corset lingerie, up +19% in market adoption to last year. All over mesh lingerie (+8% in Market Adoption) styles that acts as a canvas for motifs is also one to note. And elevated at-home styles from lace-trimmed silk rompers (+50% in Market Adoption) to floor-length silk robes (+23% to LY) and shorts sets (+41% to LY) are on the rise, offering a fashionable and romantic option in lounge wear.

DRIVING DETAILS

A variety of interesting design details played a major role in SS26 collections. Designers flirted with contrast through the use of piping, mesh, lace, and trims (+11% in Market Adoption) that made styles more intricate and interesting to the eye. Geometric shapes created with mesh and lace were stand-outs, as were plisse and pleated pieces. And, numerous fashion straps were utilized to create an even sexier appearance—strappy lingerie is already up +97% in searches to last year and expected to continue growth.
