Fashion’s unofficial “fifth capital” is known as the purveyor of cold-weather dressing, making Copenhagen the perfect European stop for the Fall/Winter 2026 season for our Fashion + Beauty Director Kendall Becker. Copenhagen Fashion Week has become a launching pad for emerging designers of the Nordic region; oftentimes, including new standards on sustainability and are invention of minimalism.

This season, CPHFW held up its reputation by channeling elements of interest through plays on fabric and texture, mixing and matching unexpected––and even unseasonal––pairings. Knitwear updates were dominated by visible texture and eye-catching patterns. Footwear was undeniably practical, from flat boots to clogs and kitten heels while neck accessories (neckcessories, anyone?) ranged from interesting collars to ties and (faux) fur scarves. Plus, there was a deliberate shift towards cool tones this season––yes, it’s finally time to say goodbye to butter yellow as the top hue but warm-toned neutrals remain in the background.
